How-to-make-Pastillas Recipe

We Filipinos are fond of sweet treats, in fact we have varieties of candies and desserts in our native cuisine. One of these is the pastillas that comes in many shapes, forms, and flavors. Fortunately, you don’t have to grab this sweet and creamy pastillas to stores, now you can make your own using this easy pastillas recipe we have for you. Perfect for desserts to pair with any dishes, or perhaps for snacks or simply a finger food. Surely that children will love this, hence you can prepare this on kids party. Plus, it is healthy as it contains lot of milk, great for those kids who do not like having their milk on the glass. Adults may also benefit from the calcium it contains. This pastillas is made even more savory using ingredients like powdered milk, condensed milk and sugar. Few ingredients but enough to provide this sweet and creamy pastillas a savoring taste.  Great choice to serve during gatherings and family bonding’s, perhaps, this dish could make your meals extra special once you serve this on your dining table. Cook this at home and enjoys its savory taste!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups powdered milk ( Anchor or Nido)
  • 1 can, 14 oz condensed milk
  • sugar for coating
  • Note: Add ½ – 1 cup powdered milk if needed.

Instructions

  1. Combine powdered milk and condensed milk. Mix and blend evenly using a spoon.
  2. Set aside for few 10-15 minutes before shaping.
  3. Shape into balls or mini logs.
  4. Wrap the pastillas in a cellophane or food paper. If you don’t like wrapping, shape into balls and insert a toothpick at the center.
  5. Enjoy your yummy dessert!
