How to Make Dalgona Coffee (Milo & Milk)

Posted on April 10, 2020April 15, 2020 by jb

Are you interested in trying the new craze storming the Internet? Try Cooking Pinoy’s version of dalgona coffee with milo in this recipe!

Simply put, it is whipped coffee. With the on-going enhanced community quarantine, people become so creative (and maybe bored) that they will try whatever the trend is. This drink recipe originates from TikTok’s viral trend. And with everyone doing TikTok challenges and videos, this recipe easily got into Filipino homes. There are a lot of recipes now circulating on social media of how they made it and how good it is. With the weather we now have and the absence of things to do, this drink is the perfect one to make!

Have you made one already? When done, it is like cappuccino with the milk beneath and coffee on top. Hmm. An upside down cappuccino it is. Although it can be served hot, the trend now is to enjoy it cold.

This drink is also a good exercise. You have to whip and whip until you got that creamy texture. We tell you, it is a good arm exercise. if you are doing it by hand. However, if you have an electric beater, things will be different. Aside from giving such a satisfying drinking experience, this dalgona coffee is cheap. Three ingredients and you are good to go. What if you are not a coffee drinker, will you be able to enjoy this one? Yes, coffee can be substituted with cocoa powder or matcha green tea.

This is what we did in this recipe. We added a bit of twist by putting in Milo, our favorite chocolate drink. You can actually take out coffee and put in Milo alone so that the kids can enjoy it also. Ready to make your Dalgona coffee Milo drink? Get it started now!
