How to Make Chili Garlic Sauce

Posted on December 10, 2019March 26, 2020 by jb

There has been a craze for this product, and Cooking Pinoy will make you in with this chili garlic recipe!

It is originally chili oil-a condiment made from vegetable oil that has been infused with chili peppers. Types of oils and hot peppers may differ, but other ingredients may be added. Such is the case in this recipe here. Garlic has been included. This kind of condiment is very common in Chinese cuisine, as well as in East and Southeast Asia. It is used as a dip for meat and dim sum. In the Philippines, it is normal to eat siomai, a type of traditional dumpling, with this oil, along with toyomansi or soy sauce mixed with calamansi juice.

How does this oil look like? With the infusion of chili, it usually becomes red in color; some would range to brownish shade. Vegetable oil, such as sesame oil or soybean oil, is used. This recipe here uses common cooking oil at home. In addition to the minced chili, some would add dried or fresh chili peppers into it.

This chili oil is very good to stimulate your eating appetite. There is magic in it! In Korea, they are adding it into the Korean Chinese noodle soup called jjamppong.

With the current demand, many have turned into making homemade chili garlic oil. They are making money out of their recipes. Who knows? You might be the next to make profit from it. If you want to, you can start by trying our recipe and assess for yourself! No need to buy from that friend of your friend or friend of your mother. You can do it too! But remember to buy a cute bottle to package it. Only three ingredients, and your eating time (and business maybe) will never be the same again!
